Only grapes chosen and selected from the best produced from vineyards facing south and southwest-southeast are used to make this fine wine. The appellation is clearly codified in the production regulations: the grapes must have a higher natural alcohol content and the resulting wine must be aged for at least eighteen months, six months of which must be in wood and put on the market no sooner than two years.
Thanks to aging in wood, the wine undergoes an evolution of the bouquet and a change in color toward ruby red tones tending toward garnet.
The taste is intense, with hints of ripe fruit and a long, lingering finish.
