Symbol of Piedmontese viticulture, Barbera alone covers half of the vineyard area of the region. Sturdy and rustic, but also elegant and durable, it reflects the very image of the Astisan winegrowers from Monferrato, namely rustic and strong yet witty and cheerful.
La Torre presents its Barbera d’Asti DOCG in the autumn after the harvest, preferring to age this wine full of body and feelings for a few months so to allow it to better express all its features.

Harvest: End of September – beginning of October
Vinification: Selection of grapes during the manual harvest, de-stemming and crushing and temperature-controlled maceration in programmable fermenters.

Aging: At least 3 months in bottle
Properties and characteristics: The color is ruby red with tendency to garnet with aging; vinous smell with ethereal perfume; dry taste, quiet body, becoming more harmonious and pleasant with the aging.
