Castel Rocchero in Lume 2016

castelrocchero-lumi-A3Saturday, July 23rd 2016 the beautiful hamlet of Castel Rocchero – throughout the night and until dawn – will become an enchanted place, surrounded by music and lit by thousands of candle lights in a gastronomic journey through vineyards and country lanes during “Castel Rocchero in Lume”.

The event will start from Cantina La Torre, where participants will find the first “Tasting station” (with the  Chardonnay Brut of La Torre di Castel Rocchero) and admiring the beautiful landscape, will listen to some mood music. Yet for next weekend at Cantina La Torre will be possible to visit the photo exhibition “Portrait of a Journey” by Nino Farinetti, truly inspired by the atmospheres of the “Castel Rocchero in Lume”.

The event, now at its eighth edition, is an enogastronomic walk, during which the participants, surrounded by an exciting atmosphere, will taste the local wines paired with classical dishes of the Castel Rocchero tradition. The event begins at sunset and will continue during the whole evening to end up at dawn.

The route, only illuminated by the moon and the light of thousands of candles scattered along the path, is winding through the vineyards all around Castel Rocchero, then penetrates the historical center, through the charming alleys of the village. Spread all along the way, visitors will find the “Tasting stations”, so-called “Lumi“, each of which will be manned by wineries in the area offering the best of their production, paired with typical dishes of the gastronomic tradition. To make even more impressive this magical atmosphere, beside all “Tasting station” and in some exclusive corners of the ancient village of Castel Rocchero, some musical moments will be proposed, animated by musicians and groups playing jazz and atmosphere music.
